Our Values

Ethical

Tales Toolkit resources are manufactured by Supreme Creations, “The World’s Largest Ethical Manufacturer of Reusable Bags”. Supreme’s award-winning factory in Pondicherry “is Fairtrade accredited, has an 80%+ women workforce, and uses sustainable manufacturing methods to reduce waste in water, energy, and materials.”

Inclusive

From its inception, Tales Toolkit was designed to be for everyone. We want children of all backgrounds and language levels to access the joy of storytelling and benefit from the opportunities to develop their communication and social skills. The super simple 4-part story structure with easily understood symbols symbols were created to ensure maximum understanding.

We also encourage practitioners to celebrate every unique child by creating stories that are of interest to them, using familiar objects and ideas from their home and culture.

UK Curriculum

Tales Toolkit meets and exceeds the UK curriculum requirements. Taking the EYFS as our foundation, we can easily apply the benefits of Tales Toolkit to the framework to satisfy what’s required while making space for play and quality time. Tales Toolkit training also teaches best practice when it comes to recording progress to reduce workload later in the school year.

Research-Based

Tales Toolkit is based on sound science with decades of evidence supporting the impact of play and quality interactions.

We are on a mission to create our own research portfolio, with our stalwart partners at Goldsmiths University. Our 2018 study proved the potential for Tales Toolkit to make a positive difference and we have more research being undertaken with the support of the Mercers Company and the Education Endowment Foundation.

Awards

Tales Toolkit has received many awards over the years as a testament to the impact it can have and the joy it can bring.

Partners and Funding

We’re proud and lucky to work with so many incredible organisations. With their help, we are able to reach more children in the UK and worldwide!
